It started with Mama and I going to town for a couple of reasons. 1) So I could get a little practice with the wheelchair van in case I need to take Grandpa to the doctor before she gets back. 2) Likewise, the van needed gas, and 3) there were a few things (like cat food) that we needed from the grocery. (Not that we usually go to the store on Sunday, but I guess Mom figured we might as well kill two birds with one stone...)
When we got home, she and Savannah packed their things into the truck. I checked the fluids in Annabelle's engine. I would have checked her tires, but I don't know where to locate an air gage here. (There is still Georgia mud stuck all over the underside of the Suburban!)
We ate lunch and then they left, leaving Katherine and I to tend to things. Katie is a little nervous with just me! :D Oh well...I'll be fine (I think). I've done this (not exactly the same deal, but close) before for two weeks and I was sick half the time...
Then, because there is a bill that is late, I decided to go ahead and put the new mail-box we bought up. That way I KNOW it will get out tomorrow. I don't always move the fastest in the morning and the mail goes around 10:30 usually. That only took a few minutes; it really could have waited til tomorrow...
Katherine and I came in and listened to a Joe Morecraft sermon--this morning's actually! Just a couple of hours late and several states away. *grins* It seems he is currently preaching through Proverbs and as usual, he is both doctrinally sound, edifying, and has that spark of humor I so love.
We took Grandpa out some lunch or dinner or something around 3 and helped him watch the last part of the 3rd quarter of the Indianpolis Colts/Tennessee Titan's game. I kind of enjoy football--partly because it's one of the ways I bond with Grandpa.
I'm going to go start supper here in a little bit...I'm wondering if I ought not start early because the stove has really been acting up lately. I think I know what I'm making. (Look out, Katherine, my food _can_ get rather repetitious!)
Anyway, an odd, and thankfully not very normal Lord's Day today. I miss normal Sunday's...I tend to loose track of where I am in the week if I don't have my day of worshpi and rest in the proper fashion. (Sorry, no Authentic Christianity summary today...)
