Daddy took us to a seaside resturant for lunch. After a nice little lunch that set me slightly 'off' in the head, we continued on to the beach. We walked down the beach for several hours...I think. I had my nose to the surf most of the time looking for shark's teeth since Daddy said this was a good place for them (one of his uncles and aunts had lived there). I found upwards of 10--most of them in fairly smoothed down shape. Daddy found a saltwater catfish's head up on the beach someplace and pulled the spines off it and I added them to my collection of sharks teeth and shells that I just couldn't pass up--you know how it is. :)
Then we walked back along this nature path...both Savannah and I were barefoot and that sand in places was so hot! We would scurry along to the next patch of shade under a two foot high cabbage palm or clump of sea oats.
I have flat feet you know, and walking in dry soft sand tends to make my feet hurt in what little arches I do have, so by the time we got back to where the car was, I was limping a bit. Anyway, I had a great deal of fun and got one awesome sunburn. Savannah said at one point, "I don't think you're burned too bad." Well, after supper I pranced into her room to show her and she went "Oh! You did get burned pretty bad!" Oh well, I know how to deal with it. Sunburn and I are old acquaintances. ;)
However, I'm sure you'd like some pictures... :)
Oh well, I'm payin' for me crimes with a hot red neck. ;)
