Some of these are from last week (to the day). Last Friday we had rain...lots of it. Between that and the melting snow the barnyard (not to mention the barn itself--into my grandparents appartment) flooded. The next day, it was cold--so the remaining water froze. I went out and took some pictures. I would have posted them sooner, but I just now found Savannah's camera cord--I couldn't find it last Saturday!
*goggles* Lookie that! Some of that grass is still green under there!
I thought it was real pretty how the ice formed these star(ish) shaped patterns throughout the frozen spread of the barnyard.
Obviously, all the snow didn't melt away...
I was attempting to show how thin the ice layer was...but I think I mainly succeed in showing how roughed up a pair of boots can get in almost a year...of course, they have seen some heavy (and wet) work, so I suppose they could look worse!

Posing with Granddaddy...it's not too good of G-dad but that really is how he looks a good deal of the time. He dropped off to sleep immediately after this picture.
Andrew picked up this hat for Daddy. It's terribly cute on him, isn't it??
I rather took a shine to it myself... :)
